M. K. Eidem

Choosing my 2nd favourite author haven't been as easy, believe me.
But that's her and I will add more soon.
... Ok, the soon-part took me a while, but here it is.

And again, here are my favourites - and this should be actually a complete list:

Tornians series
01 Grim
02 A Grim Holiday (Novella)
03 Wray
04 Ynyr
05 Oryon
06 A Grim Pet (Novella)
07 Ull (not out yet)

Kaliszian series (connected to Tornians)
01 Nikhil
02 Treyvon

Imperial Light series
01 Cassandra's Challenge
02 Victoria's Challenge
03 Jacinda's Challenge
04 Stephanie's Challenge

Kiss Series
01 Kirall's Kiss
02 Autumn's Kiss

Others
Love Without Boundaries (Anthology with different authors/by Eidem: Oryon)
Bound By Heat: A Dragon Shifter Anthology (different authors/by Eidem: Kirall's Kiss)
*Embrace the Romance: Pets in Space 2 (Antholgy by different authors/by Eidem: A Grim Pet)
Trial by Flame (2story-anthology by M.K.Eidem&Michelle Howard/by Eidem: Autumn's Fire)
Saved by Fire -not out yet- (2story-anthology by M.K.Eidem&Michelle Howard/by Eidem: ?)

I have to confess I could not remember which book was my first... I broke down and had to look into my  "manage your content and devices" to check: Cassandra's Challenge was the first book I bought by her.

I am more a fan of the first 3 series above, the Kiss Series hasn't got to me yet - though that is because I need a special mood to get into some plots, so don't miss it because of me ^^

I really, really love the audio books of those series - there are 2 or more different narrators for male/female/children what makes it like an interesting radio play.

The series "Pets in Space" is an Anthology project by different (and some of my other favorite) authors. Each book was available for only a short time; at the moment there is Pets in Space 4 still available.

Mackey Chandler

Well, I could say: I love his books, his way of thinking or getting you to think things over.
But since his books are one of those I love rereading over and over, that seems a better compliment than giving adjectives.

There are two series (which are are my favourites) and some standalones/novellas (of those I'm not sure I got them all):

April series
01 April
02 Down to Earth
03 The Middle of Nowhere
04 A Different Perspective
05 A Depth of Understanding
06 And What Goes Around
07 They Said it would be Easy
08 It's Always Something
09 A Sudden Departure
10 Been There, Done That
11 -not out yet, but check his website for some snippets-

Family Law series
01 Family Law
02 The long Voyage of the Little Fleet
03 Secrets in the Stars
04 A Hop, Skip and a Jump
05 Friends in the Stars

Standalones/Novellas
In earlier posts (2011+) on his website you can read some short stories!
Paper or plastic? (stand alone story)
Common Ground and Other Stories (collection of short stories) unpublish-warning 01.08.2018
Going Up? ... and Other Stories (collection of short stories) unpublish-warning 01.08.2018
Adverse Possession: A Short Story
No Early Birds: A Short Story - About Time
Neighter Here nor There (stand alone story)
The Way Things Seem (stand alone story) unfortuntaly unpublished before I bought it *sobbing*
Liars ? (free short story on his website: http://mackeychandler.com/a-free-short-too-small-to-publish/)

It should be noted, the author is working on publishing paperbacks of April and Family Law!

I myself started with Family Law and later on with April.
There will be a crossover for the April series in the few hundred years later setting of the Family Law series - but both are in the future of our Earth.
Both series start with the main character (April and Lee) beeing female and as a child.
Don't let that be an hindrance for you - they will grow up.
But if you're addicted to passionate sex scenes, you won't find those and have to use your own fantasy - but you won't miss them either.
Both series offer a lot technical advance and with Family Law there will be aliens too.

Paper or plastic? is unfortunately a standalone, I love the characters and wouldn't mind reading more about them and reaching for the stars. The main character is male and the story evolves around meeting, helping out an alien female and... (hah, no more spoilers).

But for being able to read his books, you should check on following:

  • You must be open to cultural, religious and even more to political differences.
  • You should be able to see both sides (and maybe between).
  • You should have an open mind since different people have different truths.

If you checked all that with a yes - read them.
If you checked all that with 1 or more no's - read them nevertheless and work more on the "have an open mind" part.

You can reach the author, check on progress or leave comments on his website: http://mackeychandler.com/
I'm really a fan he spends hands-on-time on his website: Love your snippets and patient answers all the time! Thanks <3

Getting started

Hi there!

I'm a passionate little bookworm from Germany.

I haven't commited myself to certain genres, but have a few authors I can't get enough of.
Since several years I'm also a fan of e-books and I fear my old favourites in my cupboard haven't gotten enough credit for a while.
Nevertheless I guess I will start leisured with those series I'm still hoping that there will be more books to come ^^

Ah, I may be from Germany, but if you're here to get tips on German books - you won't find that here.
I've got a little tick in reading in Englisch only.

Please connive at mistakes in language or Grammar, I'm trying my best.
